Kurt Huie, ASA

Kurt Huie is a Principal in Merit’s Dallas office and brings over 15 years of experience in the valuation of tangible assets for a wide range of purposes, including financial reporting, property tax, dispute resolution, transaction advisory, insurance, and collateral financing. He has extensive experience valuing complex properties across diverse industries, including energy, retail, chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, manufacturing, and agriculture.  Mr. Huie has worked in over a dozen countries for companies such as Spectra Energy, Targa Resources, Crestwood Midstream, National Oilwell Varco, Technip FMC, Subsea7, Phillips 66 Partners, Indorama Ventures, NuStar Energy, Distribution Now, Ace Gathering, Pepsico, The Wonderful Company, Varsity Brands, and Celanese Corporation.

Mr. Huie is a recognized thought leader in the field of tangible asset valuation. He has been a guest speaker at the American Society of Appraisers International Conference and is a regular contributing author for the International Risk Management Institute, sharing insights on valuation best practices and emerging industry trends.

Mr. Huie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Methodist University and the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers.
